Dress it up, define the ingredient rounds, add your teams. Nothing here starts the draft — you do that from the Draft tab when you're ready.
A draft and a raffle never run at the same time, so pick one. Switching back and forth doesn't lose anything — your teams, rounds and ingredients stay exactly as you left them, and so does your raffle list.
Shown on the big board and on every export.
Resized automatically to keep things fast. Shows on the board and in exports.
The difference is just who gets to press the button. Organizer Pick — only you, from this screen. Team Pick — teams can also press it themselves from their own device once connected and joined. Either way, you (the organizer) can always step in and pick for any team from this screen.
Each category is one round and one column on the board. Order matters — teams draft the rounds top to bottom.
Add the brewing teams. Draft order is set here; in the draft, snake mode reverses it each cycle.
The full ingredient grid — every team's hand, every round.
Paste a Firebase project config to sync this contest across devices (same one your club's taplist uses works fine — this app uses its own sibling key and won't touch taplist data).
Checks your Firebase connection, storage mode, and PIN setup in plain terms before you rely on them for an event.
Event audio belongs to one controller device. Visual intensity is local to each display.
Standard is the default. Reduced shows a static result card; Ridiculous adds capped secondary bursts. Browser reduced-motion always uses the static presentation.
Audio engine: not armed.
Browser permission and volume stay on this device and are never written to Firebase. Sounds are synthesized locally; no audio files are downloaded.
Save a full setup to reload later — for real pre-planning, or a fast repeatable test run.
Pick your team to make picks from this device when it's your turn.
Quick reference for playing along on your own phone.
Tap Join a team in the bottom corner and pick your team from the list. If your team has a PIN set, you'll need it to join. Once you're in, this device is remembered as yours until you tap "Not playing / spectate."
The draft board always shows whose turn it is. If it's your team's turn and your device is connected, you'll be able to make a pick — otherwise the board is view-only from your phone and the organizer's screen drives the pick.
Tap an ingredient to select it, then confirm. Near the end of the clock, confirmation gets an extra tap of protection so a last-second mis-tap can't lock in the wrong pick.
If an auto-pick clock is running, the timer counts down on screen. If time runs out, a pick is made automatically for your team rather than skipping the turn.
Lost your connection mid-draft? Reload the page and rejoin your team the same way you did the first time — nothing about the draft state is lost.
Wheel Pick spins for a random ingredient each turn. Draft by Category lets each team pick from a specific category on their turn. Draft Any lets teams pick freely from anything still available, tracked against quotas. Ask the organizer which mode tonight is running, if you're not sure.
Quick reference for setting up and running tonight's draft.
Set up categories and ingredients (or import from CSV), add teams (or import from CSV), and choose a draft mode. Running with team phones connecting remotely? Open Settings → Sync and connect to Firebase — run Setup Doctor there to confirm it's actually working before people start picking. Running solo on one device, there's nothing here you need — skip it.
Categories and teams can each be imported from CSV as an explicit, confirmed replacement — review the preview before applying, since it replaces what's currently there rather than merging.
Wheel Pick, Draft by Category, and Draft Any each have their own setup needs — category-scoped pick rules, and for Draft Any, quotas and supply. Setup locks once the draft starts, so it's worth reviewing before tapping Start rather than adjusting mid-draft.
Review the plan before starting — Start checks that the setup is actually ready and locks the parts of setup that can no longer safely change once picks are underway.
One connected screen owns event sound and acts as the authoritative controller at a time. If you're running multiple organizer screens, only one should own sound — the Settings sound panel shows which screen currently does.
Pause/Resume holds the draft without losing state. Reset draft clears picks but keeps your setup; Reset everything clears setup too — use with care. A Draft Any pick can be corrected without a full reset if something goes wrong.
Export results when the draft wraps, and save the full setup if you want to reuse tonight's categories and teams next time.
Reset everything and the recovery wipe tool are both intentionally a bit harder to trigger by accident — export first if you might need the data later.
Run Setup Doctor (Settings → Sync) first — it checks your Firebase connection, storage mode, and PIN setup in plain terms.
Enter the PIN to unlock organizer tools.
Enter your team's PIN to pick from this device.
